I started off 2022 working at Starbucks and teaching dance classes. I now am still teaching dance classes, but I have been learning about physical therapy as I now work in a local clinic at the front desk and working on writing projects on the side. My life has majorly shifted over this year, and so have my goals.
I started off the year strong with posting a new blog post each week. As I was job searching and resume writing I took a few weeks off of blogging, but doubled up to keep on track. I soon realized that with the new job it was going to be difficult to give 100% both to my work writing projects and my personal ones. I looked at all that I have accomplished and made a decision to have grace with myself and get as far as I could while still making my posts meaningful. I am ending 2022 with this post being my 80th post!! That is pretty exciting for me! I feel like each and every time I sit down to write, that I am one day closer to having a book idea.
My 2023 goals are to journal or write for at least 10 minutes each day, and to write 20 blog posts so that I will get to 100 posts by the end of the year! I know that this will be attainable, and give me the opportunity to write more consistently. I have also been reading more. One book a month is about all that I can handle, but it is a continuous goal as I did not grow up being an avid reader.
Back in 2019, I made my goal for the new year to try one new thing each month. I started to do the same in 2020, and that is when I started this blog. I asked for some advice from friends to figure out how to get started. I did not intentionally try one new thing each month this year, because I knew that I had invited the mentality of trying new things into my way of living.
My top 10 fun new things besides changing jobs this year are…
- Dance Competitions with HOTVDA
- Blonde Highlights
- First year back at Kaukauna HS as a teacher for the dance recital
- Frozen, Mean Girls the Musical and Jesus Christ Superstars at the PAC
- Lifest in Oshkosh!
- Totally changed my wardrobe
- Family Vacation to Las Vegas.
- Saw the Grand Canyon
- 6 Flags Day – Went on 16 rollercoaster rides- New Record!
- Camping at Razorback Lake
I hope that you can look back at this year and see some positive changes or exciting events that happened in your life, too. As you look ahead, know that you can start new and adjust your goals at anytime. Life is always changing, and so are we.
